Govt. Girls Hostel is in Kamaraj Nagar, under the control of Director of Social Welfare Department. This Hostel was opened on 1997.

 From 4^th STd to 11^th Std students ( girls ) were admitted in this Hostel. Hostel is maintained by the Welfare Officer with two assistant cooks, two sanitary helper and one watch, women were working in this hostel.

Inmates gets Daily free meals and evening tea with kadalai as a tiffen , weekly once fish and chicken, monthly once special diet like pongal, vadai, kesari, payasam, yearly inmates gets 2 sets of uniforms and towels. Two years once mats, pillow covers, bed sheets were given to the inmates. One small library is in this hostel. Dinamalar & the Hindu, daily newspapers were issued to the inmates. Every year annual tour and hostel day are conducted to the inmates.
